WHY POSTURE MATTERS
Posture Moderates and Affects Every Physiologic Condition in the Human Body From Respiratory, Digestive, Cardiovascular, Musculoskeletal - and Even Hormones!
Primarily due to the sedentary 'sitting down' lifestyle and the repetitive stress of certain activities over the last century, the structural design of the human body has been compromised. When the integrity of the design is affected, the entire system is affected. The hip girdle changes its’ tilt, the spine changes its’ curve, and the entire body begins to compensate - creating misalignments. In time, these misalignments cause wear and tear on the body which can lead to musculoskeletal breakdown, injuries, and pain.
HOW IT WORKS
Poor Posture is seldom a “Bad Habit” but is in fact a symptom of muscle imbalances!
The Posture System™ is designed to help you identify your physical imbalances and then provides a protocol to bring your body back to its’ natural 4 socket position.
To get and keep your Best Posture and feel your very best, one needs to do certain exercises and stretches in a VERY specific order for the program to be effective. And, here’s the Key – these programs are different depending upon YOUR Posture Type.
The Posture System™ was developed so that the program can be tailored to your specific Posture Type. Once you have identified Your Posture Type, you can quickly get started to achieve your Best Posture!
The Modern Lifestyle is Devastating to our Children
Chronic health problems with children have more than doubled in the last 20 years. These include Depression and Emotional Health Problems, ADD, Diabetes, Child Obesity, Neurological Problems, and Heart and Respiratory Problems (such as Asthma).
The Posture System™ includes a program for children of whom many are spending too much time inside and not enough time outside doing what our bodies were intended to do…i.e. M-O-V-E!
Although there seems to be no getting around the new paradigm of computers, texting, and video games (which severely and negatively impact the health of our children), there ARE things that children can do periodically while on the computer. The Posture System™ for Children has some easy to do exercises that will help maintain the child’s posture and health.
Sports keep us moving, and help the body in a myriad of ways: Sunshine, cardiovascular, respiratory, etc., not to mention developing character, learning how to win – and lose, etc.
However, despite the great and wonderful benefits that one derives from sports, because most sports activities are unilateral (i.e. ’One Sided’) the overuse of one side of a person’s body develops muscle imbalances and these muscle imbalances often lead to pain. For example, many baseball pitchers, tennis players, even golfers, over develop one side of their bodies and often end up being injured (i.e. Tennis Elbows, Tommy John Surgeries for pitchers, and even golfers often end up with back, hip, and shoulder pain due to overusing their dominant sides.
What is often overlooked is how so many people, who have become dysfunctional from our modern sitting down lifestyle, enter sports with their dysfunctional bodies only to have their dysfunctions compounded by the unilateral and repetitive stress activity.
The Posture System™ helps you GET STRAIGHT before you enter the sport, and also help straighten you out after the activity.
